Fridaa.art is a free online gesture drawing and dynamic figure sketching generator designed for artists of all skill levels. It helps artists practice figure drawing, anatomy, and timed reference sketching using high-quality images from Unsplash and Pexels.

Unlike traditional reference generators that only offer generic poses, Fridaa.art features a smart search engine with keyword optimization. This allows you to generate custom timed drawing sessions focused on specific subjects—such as animals (cats, horses, birds), fantasy characters (samurai, dancers), or dynamic anatomical action poses—without getting off-topic stock images.

Yes! Fridaa.art is 100% free with unlimited access during the entire month of October. After October, the platform continues to offer a free tier with up to 30 minutes of daily practice, perfect for warm-ups and daily sketches. For artists who need extended practice beyond 30 minutes a day, an Unlimited Pro Plan will be available (check out our Pricing page for plan details).

No account is required to start sketching. However, creating a free account unlocks tracking features like session history, total practice time counters, and custom image exclusion settings.

Simply type any theme or keyword into the search bar on the home page (e.g., "cat", "dancer", "portrait", "samurai"). Before launching your session, select your total practice duration and the interval time per pose.

Fridaa.art uses an internal "ghost keyword" filtering system. When you search for "cat", the engine automatically enhances the query to look for full-body animal reference photos rather than recipes, products, or unrelated graphics.

The tool continuously pulls fresh photography from Pexels and Unsplash. It automatically cross-references your search with your history to filter out pictures you have already sketched in previous sessions.

While Fridaa.art is optimized for English keywords (e.g., "dog", "warrior", "pose") for maximum API search results, the engine will soon supports common French queries (e.g., "chat", "danseuse") and intelligently translates them into English search parameters behind the scenes.

Keywords that describe dynamic movement, action, or character types (like "ballet dancer", "athlete", "running wolf", or "martial artist") naturally return higher-energy reference photos suited for gesture drawing.

Once you launch a session, the player displays a photo reference for your chosen pose duration (e.g., 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes). A timer counts down on the screen. When time runs out, the player automatically transitions to the next pose until your total session duration is complete.

Yes! You have full control over your practice session. You can pause the timer at any time if you need extra time on a pose, skip an image you don't want to draw, or end the session early.

You can use the thumbs-down voting button on any image. If an image receives enough negative votes from the community, it is automatically removed from global search results across Fridaa.art.

All photos featured in Fridaa.art are sourced directly from Pexels and Unsplash via their official APIs. They are free to use for personal artistic study, gesture practice, and skill improvement. Photographer credits and links to original sources are provided directly in the player.

If you are logged into your account, your completed session duration, selected theme, and number of sketched poses are automatically saved to your profile history.

Our Discord server is a friendly, bilingual (English/French) community hub for artists. You can share your daily sketches, ask for constructive feedback on anatomy or line quality, prepare for events like Inktober, and chat with fellow creators.

At the end of a practice session, you can leave a quick emoji rating or short comment. This micro-feedback helps us understand how well the pose generator performed and what features artists want next.
